I'm now just under 14 weeks and my regular size 16 jeans are now too tight!!!

Ive been looking at the obvious shops, next, matalan, very(catalogue) yet i cannot find any suitable maternity clothes, i dont have a big enough bump to wear over the bump trousers.

i am larger than average as dependant on where i shop i can be 16 or 18. i also am only 5'4 so length is a major issue.

I dont want to be spending £60 on a pair of trousers/jeans but really cant find anything comfy or suitable..

Can anyone help!?!?!

I've bought a pair of jeans, and a pair of trousers in New Look. They were really cheap compared to other shops, and they're so comfortable. Definitely worth checking out.

I haven't found any maternity tops I like yet though.

I have recently bought size 16 jeans from funmum.com and they are super comfy, don't ever want to wear normal jeans again!

I bought jeans from new look £14 that's the cheapest i've found. They are super comfy and not at all baggy and tent like as some others can be. I'm going to go and look at matalan when i get a chance to. A woman in next reccomended them xx

I got my jeans from next. They have a short stretchy waist and the fit is just lovely. You will probably find that you need a size smaller in maternity trousers because they are very generous.

These are the ones I got and they were only £25 - I'm definitely going to get another pair.

Ask at customer services to look through the latest catalogue - you can order anything into the store without a delivery charge, although you do have to pay for the items first.

ooos sorry for the double post - stupid computer froze on me!!!

asda and h&m are reasonable prices imo

I bought various bits from H&M, Dorthy Perkins, Next and Mothercare. Of all of them, I preferred the Next stuff.

That said, I went on a major ebay shopping spree a few days ago and spent about £75 on around 50 items! It saved so much money! All the clothes were brilliant, and I'm quite happy. I searched for "maternity bundle" and looked for bundles of clothes that fit my personal style. I really lucked out and found some great stuff and SOOO cheap.

At first I worried about getting it second hand, but really when you think about the fact that we only wear maternity clothes for about 4 or 5 months, it's really not surprising that everything was in good nick. :)

Mothercare have a sale online atm on maternity not much though i dont think!

Also try your local mothercare store i had 2 tops last saturday for 20 pounds they are sooooo comfy x

Hi
try peacocks they r very cheap another one is mothercare and red herring at debenhams has nice stuff too. Happy shopping x

Asos.com have some great stuff, I got some great low jeans for £14 in the sale, they're so comfy! Free delivery and returns too :D

well I have a very funky style..and I have bought from mothercare and Next..also amazon for pieces here and there..

I think you just need to trawl all of the above mentioned. I know I have really struggled as I don't want to look too 'mumsie' right now and I find it hard enough choosing clothes when I am not pregnant! Also, don't think you need to just look at maternity ranges, they are great for jeans etc but tops you can still buy normal styles I think x

I bought my over the bum maternity jeans (M&Ps - purely because it's the only shop near me that actually sells maternity clothes) at 16 weeks and although the over the bump bit is too big, I fold it down over the waist. They are so comfy and I'm filling the over the bump part quite quickly now. I also feel much happier in them as my bigger size jeans were just so baggy around the bum and thighs when they shouldn't be.

I've been buying some tops on ebay. It's a pain not having any shops that actually stock maternity wear as I really do like to try stuff on. You could try going for a bundle on ebay and then sell on what doesn't fit?

i also have real issues finding 'nice' clothes when i wasnt pregnant!!! let alone changing sizes monthly!!!

i just wanna say thanks ladies for all your advise, think i need to wait until payday and have a huge shopping spree - i have also been checking out ebay, some good stuff on there and bargains as well. I bought a pair of next maternity jeans for £!4!! fantastic. I'll let you know how i get on with my shopping day

I'll suggest New Look as well - they do elasticated pockets on their jeans which you can let out over time, as well as the full on "over the bumps", which I found better for the earlier days... they were only £16

Hiya! Asda do good maternity, with under the bump trousers for about £14. Try new look as well!

Hope this helps!

I got these ones too and they are really comfy! I am 21 weeks and still too small for the ones that have the big elastic that goes over your bump so these are perfect for me! Next have got some lovely casual maternity stuff, I picked up a few tops too!
