where on earth do i get these from, i went in boots and superdrug yesterday and couldnt find any, there were big thick sanitary towels but no actual maternity ones....unless i was looking in the wrong place. Got most stuff for my hospital bag but these!!xx

I got some from Asda. They were 90ish pence per pack. I got two packs for the sake of my hospital bag but I will be using nighttime pads when I come home as they are much better. XX

Look with the baby bits rather than sanitary pad/tampon bits

yip asda defo do it all. At the baby bit you can get the maternity towels, breast pads...everything and its really cheap Kx

I stuxk with asda cheapo ones but Mothercare (I think) do maternity towels with wings so they stay on better...most maternity pads are the old mattress style ones and arent all that sticky!

As Chuck said they are with baby things in Boots, well thats where i found them!

I found the maternity pads to be really uncomfortable last time and not very absorbant! I think I used Tesco one - I switched to Tena Lady instead and managed to sleep the night without getting up just to change the pad - after a few days I went to Always night time ones

I got mines from mothercare and boots :)

You are supposed to use maternity ones to start with as they wont mask any signs of infection. Inco or sanitary pads can mask smells that are a common sign of infection.

don't normal sanitary ones have something in that to draw the liquid away from you that can, post birth, make the bleeding worse? (it's ok when it's a period as there is a limited amount of blood but post birth it doesn't work the same)

I got mine from the baby section in Boots I need some more for coming out of hospital but I've also found them difficult to find.

i used mothercare ones after i had DS but got Asda ones this time as they are a bit cheaper - i seem to remember mothercare ones to cause my stitches agony last time as it was like sitting on a brick.

ive heard not to use sanitary towels in case there is an infection, they make it harder for MW to pick it up.

My OH bought mine in asda's so they must be easy to find lol! - usually he cant see for looking! ha ha!. xx

I got a huge pack from mothercare for a few quid, no idea how good they are but at least I know I'll have enough lol!

My friend who's a nurse advised me to avoid maternity pads and just use the night time sanitary towels as she said they were much better..

i got mine from sainsburys 10 for £1.09 in the baby isle

I think I paid £4.99 for mine in Mothercare. I can also recommend Naturacare pads. I use them all the time as I'm allergic to Always and the others with the chemicals.
