Maternity Sanitary Pads...

Pack of 10 in tesco is 80p ...

Don't know what there like though ... Il be picking a couple more when I'm out and about then getting night time sanitary ones

A couple of friends advised me to buy tena lady as they are super absorbant!! xx

i got some today from mothercare.

i got ones that were in packs that look like sanitary towel packs.

there were others there but were massive, and i would feel like i was wearing a nappy. so defo didnt fancy that! haha!

got 4 packs!!

I used Tesco last time and they were pretty good. I alway suse three at a time for the first day or two when it's really heavy, sort of arranged as one at the front, two at the back, all overlapping. They are extra padding that way too, so it's more comfy.

If you use normal sanitary towels, not maternity ones, because they draw away fluid from the surface and are designed to mask odours, it can be harder to notice an infection.

where on earth do i get these from, i went in boots and superdrug yesterday and couldnt find any, there were big thick sanitary towels but no actual maternity ones....unless i was looking in the wrong place. Got most stuff for my hospital bag but these!!xx

Mothercare and boots both do the slim ones with wings and I used the mothercare ones last time :)

I am from the U.S. and I have never seen anything resembling them here? I have looked in sanitary pads/tampon sections of stores and the baby section.

Am I missing something? Are they called something else here? I just get confused looks when I ask about them or get pointed to the normal pad/tampon aisle.

It is still called maternity pads here, you can actually order online from Amazon as well if you'd like. The difference with the regular pads, these maternity pads are a LOT bigger. Although the nurses at my hospital said that you don't actually need to buy the special maternity pads, they will provide those during your stay in the hospital. It may be worthwhile for you to check with the hospital you will be staying at. And the nurses told me that by the time you are discharged from the hospital the regular pads would do.

I got mine from Sainsburys, but most supermarkets, chemists etc sell them. I tend to buy 3/4 packs when I see baby events etc that way theyre around a quid a pack xx
