Just curious what people make of this name? Becoming too popular? Sound very distinguished to you?

Love Matilda, and don't think it's too common  Tilly is a lovely nickname.

I love Tilly. not too sure on Matilda , sorry. xx

I love it! In the US, it's a very "uncommon" name! Sooo cute!

I love it, too. I'm also in the US, so it's not overly common, here.

My former neighbour has a little girl called Matilda nicknamed Tilly. I wasn't so much of a fan of the name at first but it really suits her and I couldn't imagine her as anything else.

Not keen, but like some others I do like the abbreviated version of Tilly xx

My mum is 69 and called Matilda - she gets Tildy, Till and Tilly off differnet people. I actually considered this if we had a girl but DH thought it would upset his mum!

I love the name Matilda. It's on my list. I'm in Canada, where it's not a common name. The few people I've mentioned it to over here don't seem to like it though :(

I love the name Matilda! It was on my list but unfortunately OH doesn't like it!

Also like it shortened to Tilly.

Love it! This is what I would have loved to call our LO, but OH doesn't like it.

My friends niece is called Matilda and it suits here so much

I think its lovely, and Tilly is really cute too :)

I love it. I think we are going to have a Tillie! :) xx
