maybe a slightly odd question but is my toddler sleeping to much?

I know a lot of parents struggle with their baby/toddler not sleeping enough so this question probably seems out of the ordinary and I know I shouldn't complain that my son loves to sleep but I can't help but think maybe he is sleeping to much.
So my son is 15 months old, he goes to bed at 7pm and usually goes straight to sleep and sleeps through to about 6/6.30 so gets about 11 hours at night, he used to then have breakfast and play for a bit before having a nap at about 10.30/11 for an hr or so and then another nap at about 2.30/3 for about 2 hours. But the past few weeks he's been waking the same time in the morning and the amount of sleep hasn't really changed but he wants his morning nap earlier and earlier now to the point that he was back in bed at 9 this morning, I thought his awake times would be getting longer by now not shorter and that he would be getting ready to drop to 1 nap soon.

Thanx for any replies

My son sleeps 13 hrs a night (7pm-8am), and naps for 3 hrs (at least) during the day, either one nap or two but they still equal about 3 hrs. So I would think it's normal. Hour at also be going through a growth spurt. I know some kids sleep less then but mine always seems to sleep more

I agree it could be a growth spurt. My eldest is a sleeper & at that age would sleep for 12 hours at night and have a 2-3 hour nap a day. He did that until he was almost 2 when he then halved his nap, it was bliss!

As a Mummy of a good & truly awful sleeper, really enjoy the good sleep! I think I took it for granted & am now finding it very hard to come with a baby who sleeps so little. Some days he actually sleeps less that my almost 3 year old!

My daughter usually goes to bed around 8/9 pm and is up by 8/9 am in the morning so gets a good 12 hours of sleep. She has one nap and sleeps about 3 hours, sometimes even 4! He could be going through a growth spurt so he might just need more sleep. :)

I love that he sleeps so much but I would rather him have 1 long nap as it would make things easier but I'm not going to rush him if he's not ready. I know I am very lucky to have such a good sleeper and to enjoy it as when we have another I probably wont be so lucky
