"Maybe God is Trying to Tell You Something"

Okay...commence rant......NOW

I just received an email from my neighbor and in it she says:

"...sorry about your other baby, are you ok? Maybe God is trying to tell you something?..."

ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?!?!

What in the H*LL is that supposed to mean? Uh, what exactly does she think the LORD is trying to tell me? Some people are just so stupid I can't stand it!!!

Yes perhaps god is telling you something, that your neighbour has no feelings of compassion at all.......

People will say things which will hurt, its learning to let these go and listen to what makes you feel better and gives you comfort that matters.

I know, people are so dumb. We say it a lot, but it is true, unless people have been through this, they cannot possibly know. What kind of a comment is that, some people are so frustrating...
People have told me the same thing, that God took my baby because we weren't ready for it...don't even get me started on people who think this way. The important thing is that we know these people are stupid.

I am so sorry she was so incredibly inconsiderate. You know, the thing is God is always trying to tell us something but that is not for other people to interpret for us. So many times when life has been difficult well-meaning friends have suggested that maybe it is because I am not going in the direction God wants me to. God never promised that life would be cherry pie and fluffy bunnies as long as I did exactly what He wanted me to do. Remember Job. The reason he was allowed to suffer so much was because he was following the LORD so closely. You can rest knowing that what God is trying to tell you is that He loves you. Sending many hugs to you.

I have a list of insensitive comments that have been thrown our way, that I won't even start to share.........because some of them are doozies. Unfortunately, some people think that they are being compassionate and trying to releave some of your grief, where infact they are creating more heartache.

I attended a church group for a while (i live in a village and it was more social than religiious), but one woman actually had the nerve to tell me that loosing a baby was parts of Gods bigger plan for me....

I'm going through another miscarriage now - is that his plan too.....

Some of the comments people receive are from people that don't know what to say and end up saying things that can seem insensitive but you know they mean well but that comment certainly isn't one of them!!
