I miscarried last month and was really upset last night when I had a call from a lady at the hospital (I'm sure she said she was my midwife - was too shocked/upset to take it in) asking to arrange a date for my first scan.

I tearfully explain I had a m/c and she was really apologetic and seemed genuinely upset that she has called... apparantly my doctors hadn't informed them of my m/c.

Has anyone else had this? It's really upset and now keep thinking of how happy I would of been looking forward to the scan...

Oh Hun, how awful for you. I'm sure the lady was genuinly sorry, she must have felt bad for you. It's a shame such things can happen. Thankfully it hasn't to me, I called to cancel an appointment and they had already cancelled it, that was hard enought so I feel for you getting that call.

that must have been really upsetting for you-when i went for a epu scan to confirm a m/c they asked me if i had cancelled my 12wk scan...really you think someone would take care of these things, hope it hasnt thrown you too badly:hugs:

:hugs:

I found out at my 12wk scan that i had a mmc in november. I got a letter around xmas time telling me when the anti natal classes are etc from the same hospital. Sometimes i dont think the right hand knows what the left hand is doing!

yeh i got a call 2weeks after getting out of hospital to arange another scan after i had just had an op as i had an ectopic!
so yeh arse not telling elbow what its doing i am afraid!
its not nice though they should all be talk to eachother its not down to us!
to do it for them!
sorry for your loss honey xx take care of you xx

Im so sorry for your loss hun :hugs:

Hospitals tend to be useless but things like this shouldnt be happening because of how upsetting it must be for you

what a bad situation that would of upset me too so i can understand iam sorry for your loss and send u big hug xx

i'm sorry hun :hugs:

i had a visit from the midwife just after my first miscarriage (11weeks)....fortunately i was at work so she pushed a note through (a little bit stroppy too)

my wonderful hubby phoned her, and explained....she then phoned my gp and had a right old rant apparently.....

i am sorry though.....the small things do tend to twist the knife just a little bit more....

take care
:hugs:

I sort of had this. I had the scan letter through 2 weeks after I miscarried. Again, I should have been so happy.

Awwww I'm so sorry :(

These things seem to pop up and bite you chick. x x x

:hugs:. I opened my post this morning to find a set of handheld pregnancy notes and an antenatal & scan appointment following my early miscarriage three weeks ago. It was my own fault because I forgot to ring them after I got the letter saying they'd received my referral but it was still a bit like a punch in the face when I opened it.
