i had a letter through today saying i had missed my back to work interview and need to ring asap to arrange another or my money gets stopped.

i didnt know about this interview i missed
what is it? what happens?

thought i didnt HAVE to go back to work until LO is 5?

sorry i have no idea what it is they may have made a mistake specially if you didnt get anything to tell you that you had a interview i dont know what it is but i hope you can get it sorted xxx

i hope they are wrong as LO isnt even 2 until end of feb xx

Hi - i had to attend return to work interviews every 6 months after Chloe was born, its not to get you back into work, but more to make sure you have a plan to return to work, and just record details on their system i.e. your work history and what you are qualified experienced for. it was really informal, but you have to attend or they can stop your income support.

they usually stop 20 pound out of ur money hun but i think u have to miss 3 interviews x

I missed one or two, but quickly rescheduled, but never found out how much they stopped, i just assumed it was all of it :-S

no need to take anything, just yourself oh maybe your cv, i think they ask you to recount your work history xxxxxxxxxx

Should all be pretty simple, as was said previously a casual conversation letting you know how the system works these days. Am I completely wrong or has the age changed to 3 now? I know it was 5 but a friend told me it was changing.

yes it changing rags, its as soon as they are intitled to 15 hrs free, in my case its when shes 2. xx

I think this back to work thing age limit is going to decrease with the universal credit apparently they will start encouraging work when a child gets to 1 and its compulsory after at 3.

I've been looking into the new changes to come but its so much to take in all at once. X
