i have another milk supply question, sorry lol

i was just wondering, if my milk supply is low, even if im feeding every say 2hrs, will she get enough milk or will i have to top up with formula? i feel like shes not getting enough milk from me, is this just me being paranoid again? shes got stomach pains and im not sure if it is just colic like i originally thought or if it is hunger pains?

Really a low supply is very rare, you should never have to top off with formula. If she's eating every 2hrs suddenly it could be a growth spurt, or she could just be more of a snacker. Your body will produce what you need based on how often and how much she eats at a time. Just make sure you drink plentyof water and eat healthy and there shouldn't be any problems with that. If you are doing both formula nd breastfeeding your body may not know how much she actually needs and your supply could get low that way, you can take fenugreek to up it though

i would have thought if she wasn't getting enough she would be unsettled and crying, is she like that after a feed? try and relax hon, stress can affect your milk and im sure you have nothing to worry about xx

my little girl is about the same age and has started feeding every two hours again in the last few days so might be growth spurt.

thanks everyone, yeh she wees and poos a couple of times a day, i think i will go and get her weighed, i was looking at her book and when she got weighed at 6 weeks she had dropped below the line of the 50th centile, which was the line she was followeing, she should have been the weight she was the week before, then however much heavier when she was weighed, i cant get her weighed till wednesday but am deffo gna go and see what they say

Dont get too hung up on charts etc. and dont forget those charts lean towards FF babies anyway.

Try not to get too obsessed honey - keep doing what youre doing coz youre doing great!!
