Went for my viability scan. Two weeks ago a sac was seen measuring 5 and a half weeks. I'm 100% sure of my dates because of FF and a fertility monitor. There was a heartbeat but the baby measured nearly two weeks too small.

Has anyone else been as drastically off with their scan and what was the outcome? Good or bad.

with my daughter i went for 1st scan and they ended up doing an interanl scan and putting dates way back, then at 12 week scan they put her dates back again, then my bump was to small so they brought me in for extra scans and all that. When she was born she was a small 8lb!! small they said all the way through! "heres ur chubbs" they said when she was born lol

Same with my son, he always scanned small, bump was always to small... he was 9lb! he came out built like a tank!

I had a bad outcome 3yrs ago, but my baby was so small they didnt see a baby until 9weeks and baby had a very weak heart beat. I think the fact they see your baby is a good sign. Have they seen a heartbeat? Also sometimes early scans like that can be off.

I had a scan at 8 weeks and baby measured 6+6. It safely ended in a mmc at 12 weeks but I read loads of stories where babies catch up. At that stage you're talking mms between weeks so measurements can be out. My mw sAid not to worry if there was a heartbeat x

The fact that you seen a heartbeat increases your chances :)
I was the same but my outcome was bad and we never saw the heartbeat.

I googled so much when it was happening, I read that peoples dates always catched up by 12 weeks, some didn't and just ended up with odd dates, and some had small babies, so really it can go either way, I have everything crossed for you, I know exactly how you feel x

girllnyork: Did your doctor do a HCG test? HCG test is not always reliable but usually it does somewhat predicts the outcome along with other factors. I hope it is just a slow growing baby and that your baby sticks.

No hcg in the UK is only done for suspected ectopics and molar resolutions typically :(

On the 26th. I'm so confused. My bump has popped, I keep peeing, my sickness came back and my boobs have gone up a cup size. I just want to know what's going on

It drives you bonkers not knowing doesn't it? Awful. :hugs: Your symptoms sound really positive tho, mine always vanish totally when babys HB stops.

Hope next week comes round quickly now, seems like a long wait between scans:hug: xxx

Sounds positive :)
My symptoms had completely vanished over night with mine x

Confirmed missed miscarriage. D&C done same day. Relieved to have closure so the healing can start

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Same happened to me back in June - testing confirmed it was a chromosome issue. I'm now pregnant for the third time and things are progressing well (knock wood).

Comfort to you, my friend.
