I chart and temp and know exactly when I O'd. Just wanted to get that out of the way. LOL I had an early scan at 5w5d (based on my calculations) and actually measured ahead by one day (so it was adjusted to 5w6d). That was on November 19th.

Yesterday I measured 7w3d...which is perfectly accurate based on LMP, but not by my ovulation date. I should have been 8w4d.

Has anyone else measured small and caught up?

The doctor said everything was perfect, heartbeat, etc. And based on LMP I was measuring right on schedule. But that can't be right. We only dtd twice during my fertile time: day of O and the day after. And I O'd on October 25th, but my LMP was October 15th. Any ideas? Has this happened to you?

I'm having a similar situation, so can't give you a positive story yet I'm afraid but me and DH only dtd on two days which I'm sure was ovulation day and day after and yet baby is measuring 7/8 days behind, has been the same for two three scans now. I have next scan on christmas eve so can update you then but good luck, I wonder if this baby making business is actually a lot more complicated than I realise and things like this may happen all the time, difference being a lot of people don't get early scans so they don't have the worry.

Mine have all measured a little either way.

5+6 I measured 6+1.
7+4 I measured 7+1.
9+0 I measured 9+1.

DD measured 8+0 when she was 8+5.

I think the important thing is there is progress and a heartbeat.

I just emailed my doctor and she just repeated that I'm on schedule with my LMP so...yeah. Blah. She didn't even talk about that I was (at least in my mind) measuring a week smaller.

As promised a quick update -

Had 12 week scan yesterday and baby is measuring bang on 11weeks 6 days just as it should so either the measurments were out every scan before or bubs has caught up :) Hope same happens for you x

Thanks for the update Loup89!! That's wonderful news!

I think it's normal to measure smaller or even larger at this stage of the game. Like Celesse said, I also think what's most important is that there is a heart beat and progress!

Also? Your EDD will probably even change when they do the biophysical profile scan based on the size of the fetus when the scan is done. Sorry, I'm in work mode at the moment. yay for working Christmas day! Hospitals are never closed. ;(

At any rate, don't worry I'm sure baby will measure up perfectly very shortly. :)

Do you know what babies crl was measring ? X

My kids all measured small at first and then measured big at their "12 week" scan - except for this baby who still measured small at first but then measured bang on dates at "12 week" scan. Still, they've all caught up and been healthy. Good luck! :)

Baby's grow at different rates, what they are telling you is just the average growth of babies.

At my 8 week ultrasound baby boy was measuring behind, 20 weeks he was right on target, I was sent to a specialist a week later and he was a week ahead, at 32 week ultrasound he was measuring behind again.

Don't worry at 7+ 5 I measured 6 + 4. But with a strong heart beat.
At 12 weeks I measured 11 + 5
At 19 +5 I measured 20 + 3
