Has anyone found that as baby has engaged, they've started measuring behind a bit? I had a midwife appointment today and my fundal height was 33cm (Done by the midwife after the student midwife did it a few times and kept getting 32cm), and I'm 35 weeks. Two weeks ago it measured 34cm when I was 33 weeks so it's apparently shrunk by a cm!

Baby is now 2/5ths engaged whereas before it was free so I assume this is the reason but just wanted to see if others had the same x

My bump, at 36 weeks, had only gained 1cm from 34 weeks, and 36 weeks is when it was meant to be at its highest. Think this is due to position though, as baby has already dropped. My bump now has deffo changed shape and looks smaller. I would say your decrease is due to baby engaging, Im not expecting an increase at my next appointment :flower:

yup my Dr said it's normal! at my 38 week appt I measured 39 cm at 39 baby was fully engaged and I measured 37 cm!
