Meat in fridge!

Random question lol! I was going to do a pork roast today so i put my pork in the fridge. But now OH is poorly and so im not going to cook one just for me and my LO......... so can i now freeze the joint of pork even if its been in my fridge for a day?

I think it generally says "freeze on day of purchase".......however, if it's only been in the fridge for one day I would happily put it in the freezer. My way of thinking is it could still be sat in the shop today & you could have bought it today & froze it.

Yep, it's ok to freeze. I sometimes freeze it just before the best before runs out if it's been forgotten about in my fridge.

I think it's okay to freeze any time as long as it hasn't been frozen before

yes as long as it not been frozen before - if you hadnt bought it, it would have been sat in the shop anyway x

I agree with the reasoning that it could've been in the shop til today and if it's not been frozen before it's fine. like onlyme said, I also freeze stuff we've had in the fridge and realise we won't get to using before its date. Xx
