Medela Swing breast shield sizing

Hi all, I'm struggling to work out the correct size! Currently have the standard 24mm, but it is hurting my boobs.
My nipple itself doesn't touch the sides of it,but my areola does.
Do I need a bigger size?

I had similar issues so bought the next size up. But that seemed to be way less efficient than the smaller one so I went back to using that one. Sorry I know that's no help
to you really just my experience.
