Mediation tomorrow with FOB - eek!

Getting sooo nervous now! I went a few weeks ago for an initial meeting but my ex will be there with us tomorrow, and I'm dreading it!
I've only seen him once since I left with LO and I had my family around me so I don't know how I'll react when I see him. I've bought a new outfit and had my hair done, I know I'm a saddo but I have to look fab

Also stocked up on the tissues - just incase! I just know what a good liar he is I'm so scared I'll be made to look like the eejit. Eek, someone tell me it'll go well!

Didn't go too bad, he didn't really bother speaking most of the time he just shrugged and said 'I don't know' to everything. Even the mediator kept saying 'you're here to actually speak to each other', haha, the idiot.

I did agree to meeting up with him on Sunday though! Just me him and the baby.. can't imagine anything more awkward should be fun

CanI just ask, how did the matter of mediation come about? (if you dnt mind telling your story)....

I am in a situation at the minute where things with me and FOB are a nightmare and I know once LO arrives he's going to start trying to do all he can to get his own way i.e overnights and more access than I am willing to give....he will see LO but as he is a drinker and a smoker and hangs about with morons I am not permitting unsupervised access x

Not at all. FOB went to a solicitor basically, saying I'd not let him see the baby, (which he even admitted was complete bullsh**), all because he wanted to be able to take the baby for a day or two without me there, after months of not seeing him! His solicitor referred the case to mediation to save it going to court.

Which mediator you going to Bexy?

What would have happened if you declined the mediation? Obviously if he was willing to pay it would have been passed to court..but would that have been straight away. I'm baffled as to why he thinks he can take a baby off as you say...would he have been granted that access do you think?x

Well I was late in replying and his solicitors were hot on it and already tried starting court proceedings, so yeah it's pretty much the 'easy' option before resorting to court. It could still go to court afterwards if both parties aren't happy with the arrangements offered.

I dread to think whether he'd have been granted access! As much of a freak as he is, there's no specific reason I could say he can't have the baby, I just don't trust him. In your situation it might be different because you have good reasons etc. From what my solicitor said while the baby is so young he can't demand anything!
