At 41 weeks (March 3rd) I started having contractions around 3pm in the K-Mart parking lot, waiting for my mom to get a prescription. I timed them, they were about 7-10 minutes apart.
By the time we got to Jack in the Box to buy my car, they were getting to be about 5-7 minutes apart.
Drove the car (yes, while in labor) to SIL's house and then to the hospital.
We got to the hospital around 6:30pm where I was checked (4cm & 80% effaced) and monitored until 7:30pm.
From 8pm - 9pm I labored in the jacuzzi tub. After getting light headed, I went back to the room and was stretched to 6cm and monitored for another 30 minutes (with a failed attempt to break my water).
From about 10pm - 2am I had labored on my own. Spent some time in the jacuzzi tub, sitting, walking, laying down and resting between contractions, etc.
I was checked again and was close to 8cm (another failed attempt to break water) at which point I started doing everything possible to get my water to break.. which included bouncing on the birthing ball for about 20 minutes.
Exhausted, I leaned over the back of the bed while FOB, MW and the nurse massaged my hips and lower back while I got through another 15-20 minutes worth of contractions.
So, FINALLY at about 2:30am, we decided that my water needed to break and Andrea and I decided to just get it over with. She had to use a plastic hook and still had a tough time!
Talk about a tidal wave! It felt like the ocean came out of me and right after that everything was SUPER intense!
About 2 contractions later, she was coming whether I wanted her to or not.
Screaming during each contractions, which were about 2 seconds apart.. 4-5 pushes and she SHOT out so fast that MW barely caught her and the rest of the ocean came with her (haha).
During the pushing stage, my eyes were closed the entire time.. but I did feel her head and hair.
When they put her on my chest, I couldn't believe she had a head full of dark hair! She didn't cry, was happy to see me and looked at me with her eyes open for quite awhile and latched on perfect.
*ended up with a teeny tear in my labia, already healed*
She was born March 4th at 2:54am.
Later she was weighed and measured 8lb, 4oz and 21" long with a 14" head.
We were released March 5th![Happy Dance :happydance: :happydance:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/happydance2.gif)

DS is still getting used to her.. I'm weaning him from boobie so he's pretty upset about it. I wanted to tandem nurse, but I just can't do it.. it's too demanding for me right now.
Needless to say though, breastfeeding DD is going great.
I 100% recommend a natural birth. I had a medicated birth with DS and it was horrible compared to going natural, even though both labors were around 12 hours long.
I have recovered MUCH faster and I'm not swollen like I was with DS.
So if you're wanting to go natural, DO IT. It was incredibly painful, but you'll be so happy once it's over.
