I'm having a bit of a rough week - my period is 8 days late (but not for any exciting reasons) and I usually have an absolutely regular cycle - text book 28 days with O day on CD14.

This month I bled for 2 weeks, O day was 4 days late and here I sit on CD 36 with no sign watsoever of AF

My FSH levels are 23 and AMH 3.2, so I know my reserves are low, and so presumably the big M is on the cards .... but it feels dreadful that it might actually be happening. I'm 41, so it's not especially early, though still on the early side.

We are on the waiting list for donor eggs, so it shouldn't upset our plans any - but I like having even the slim hope each month that I might do it on my own, but if the menopause has come to get me,I won't have that any more.

Is anyone else facing this? Is anyone else down about it? What are you doing to keep your spirits up?

:hugs:

it is something I worry about -I'm nearly 36 and all the women on my mothers side have had early Menopause, pcos, huge cysts and most of them ovarian Big C as well! Most have hit the big M at 40 but all my mothers cousins had their M in their 20s and early 30s so it doesnt bode too well - my cycles have gone from around 48 days this time last year to 20 days last month (clomid and 2 mmc in between) but I have ov'd the last 3 cycles without clomid so im hoping thats positive!

am going to ask for my hormone levels to be checked again as its been a year - Ive heard that amh levels arent accurate if you have pcos so i may not get that checked

I hope you're a way off the big M yet hon

sending you :dust: x
