I seem to have messed up my LO's routine today. She always used to be pretty much every 3 hours. Would cluster at 6pm and 8pm and then not feed again until 2/3am (although she does often wake a couple of times before but can get her back to sleep with dummy). As I've been trying to wean from boob to bottle I actually managed to get 5oz into her at the 10am feed. However she ended up going 4.5 hours until the next feed (she was asleep at the feed due time and couldn't bring myself to wake her). This threw out the other feeds so she ended up having a feed around 5:30 and fell asleep in her chair at 6:45pm which is way too close to bedtime to be napping and I knew she would hit deep sleep/

I then panicked as hadn't changed her for nighttime and she would normally feed again but she was sound asleep. So I woke her and got her ready for bed and gave her a tiny top up on the boob (boobs were pretty empty at this stage) and then found it hard to get her back to sleep. She went back to sleep just after 8pm. Do I leave her until she wakes or should I attempt a dream feed? (although they have never really worked in the past as she is a windy baby). What do I do if she wakes for a feed around midnight - will her pattern be completely thrown for the morning???

Sorry for the ramble but get a bit lost when the pattern goes wrong..

Personally, I'd just go with the flow hun. She'll sort herself out. I find if I mess a routine up, they do suprisingly well during the night and just start again as usual the next day!

go with it, she will wake up when shes hungry, lucas has his feeding routine buggered up a few times - he will always sort himself out, its like he knows better than me what to do lol

Agreed! ^^^^ We have a rough on but I do go with the flow where poss - then they can be flexible when you need it ;)
