Metformin....need advice

I started Metformin July17th because my cycles were crazy.On July 20th I had light bleeding(spotting) until the 23rd. Today July 28th i'm having light cramping. Is this a sign of my period coming or early sign of pregnancy. I believe my period is due Aug1st.

Not sure...my last period was june 24-29. and my cycles are crazy that's why my dr put me on Metformin. I always have a period they just are regular.
