Just wondering if your hubby's MFI diagnosis (or azoospermia diagnosis in our case) has had an effect on your sex life.

Hubby's got other issues too - underactive thyroid and low testosterone and hasn't been initiating anything for the last 18 months but when he was told about the azoospermia he said it would take the TTC pressure off him and he felt things would be easier then. But that was 4 months ago and nothing ...

I know it must be a real blow to him, but he says he's fine with it and just hopes the SSR is successful, but when I try to initiate things he just comes up with excuses or laughs it off :nope:

I have needs too ...

Would be interested to hear others' experiences

Thanks

Deb

Low testosterone affects the libido hun - what about speaking to the FS or GP about getting something substitued to help with his libido?

We tried Maca which is a herbal supplement and fine to take ttc - hubby had no urge to :sex: and now it's me telling him to back off!! x

Thanks for the reply.

I hope it's just the low testosterone level that's causing it

He had to have a repeat blood test at the GP surgery the other day. What amazes me is that the FS did some blood tests and said his testosterone was 5.8 and should be above 8. They didn't suggest it was anything to worry about or that anything needed doing about it.

It was me who suggested hubby speak to our GP as I looked up other symtpoms; depression, weight gain etc and it all fits. GP agrees it's way too low and if blood tests confirm will refer him to endocrinologist.

He's taking wellman conception which has Maca in it but no change. What dose of Maca is your hubby taking?

I can totally relate to you. I have been diagnosed with endo and dh has low motility and morph but his sex drive is low! I feel like it is difficult enough with the issues that we have but with this as well it really feels like I am hassling him all the time and it really adds to the stress of it all. I really wish there was a magic pill he could take to increase his drive. I don't know if this is an any way connected to the low motility.
