Wondering what you ladies think would work nicely as a middle name for
Neveyah/Nevaeh (Nuh-Vey-Uh)???

:flower:

I think a one syllable middle name would sound best with a 3 syllable first name.

Faith
Rose
Rae
Lea
Mae
June
Lynn

...I'm bad at middle names though

Thanks for the suggestions! I was thinking Rose or Lynn but they almost seem too plain to me.

Personally I don't think a middle name needs to be unique or great. I mean, some people don't even have them. We chose Rae as the middle name of our little girl to honor dh late uncle Ray who raised him. If we weren't doing that I'd probably be stuck on a muddle name still

True; although maybe because MY middle name is Rose I just think of it as slightly boring. I'm not a fan of doing the same names as family - I'd rather sneak it in somehow like even changing it to Rosalyn or something.

What do you think about Neveyah Genevieve? I LOVE the name Genevieve but the nickname "Gen"/Jen is a NO go for us :nope: I'd use Vieve if anything but I don't even want a chance of Gen so can't use it as a first name.

With Neveyah I love the nickname Veyah :cloud9:

Faith is a good one sticking with a bit of a religious theme, Nevaeh is Heaven backwards in case anyone didn't realise :)

I think Neveyah Genevieve is lovely! I once knew a wonderful woman named Genevieve, but she went by Jenny. I was recently thinking how awesome it would be if one of her relatives would use the name in honor of her. Such a gorgeous, yet under-used, name! What about the nickname "Jenna" or is that also a no-go?

Neveyah Rosalie
Neveyah Grace
Neveyah Gracyn
Neveyah Jade
Neveyah Angelina
Neveyah Sophia
Neveyah Seraphina
Neveyah Josephine
Neveyah Brielle
Neveyah Gabriella
Neveyah Starr
Neveyah Clementine
Neveyah Juniper
Neveyah Penelope
Neveyah Jordyn

Oh Veyah is so cute as a nn! I'm a huge fan of nn. You could use Genevieve, but like you said, when she gets older she may change it to Gen either way. I dunno. I'm an Amanda and have never gone by it my whole life. I've strictly been Mandie and will not respond to Amanda because I hate it so much. If it's instilled in her at a young age that she's a "Vieve" it will probably stick. Just a thought though.

Thanks for the suggestions ladies!!
I really like Neveyah Louise and Neveyah Starr and a few others :)

I probably could instill Vieve as Genevieve's nn but Jen is OH's ex, so I'm just thinking I don't want our child to have anything to do with her name :nope: Jenna is cute too but I still don't know, too similar I think

I think the name Genevieve is beautiful...I say if you like it, use it. My mother gave me a name (Elizabeth) that people usually shorten without permission, but she insisted that everyone call me by my full name and it took some doing with some people - like my grandmother, but my full name eventually stuck. And I love going by it!

Just be aware that kids can make up their minds on nicknames too, LOL. We called my brother by his full name until he was about 15, then he decided that he liked the common nickname better....more than a decade later and even my mom has given up on calling him by his full name!
