Im going to have my baby at a midwife unit, I know they dont give epidurals so if I want one would they transfer me or can I just not have one? Really worried about this just incase :s I had one last time but I started off at a midwife unit and was transfered for other reasons so I dont no wether to just go to hospital incase I want one even though id prefer to be at a midwife unit.. Any helpthanks

I didn't have a epidural second time round and have no plans to this time.

I much preferred the non epidural labour

At my midwife unit they don't offer epidurals, but you can e transferred to the manic hospital which is just downstairs, and have one there. I think they encourage you very strongly not to have one though, as the point of the midwife unit is to try and have a more natural birth I believe.
I'm going to aim for midwife unit an hope I'm stong enough to last without an epi. It's easier in my case as the epidural is only downstairs, not a desperate location.

Main hospital not manic! Sorry bloody phone!

I think I might need one lol I loved it, if its not to long though I should be able to do without but just need to know if they would transfer me if I did want one cuz if they wont it could get quite stressful.. I forgot to ask my midwife at my last appointment and my due date is sunday so im worrying now bout what to do talk bout being unorganised

Yea im hoping to not have one but after having one before its hard to resist the temptation of making it easy lol
