So, for those of you that have had c-sections early for planned medical reasons, was the dad still able to cut the cord if he wanted to? I'm just trying to think of things that would at least stick to some of my original birth plan.

I didn't have a c-section, but DH wasn't able to cut my LO's cord.

I had an emergency section and DH wasnt able to cut the cord but you are now further along than I was at the time so might be different. xx

i had section but got knocked out and oh wasnt allowed in at all. sorry not much help ask midwife?! im not sure though coz u would be all opened up xxx

I had a csection and hubby wasn't able to cut the cord.

No with a section the daddy can't cut the cord unfortunately. This was one of the things I asked right before mine 3 weeks ago.

They did hold baby up for hubby to see so he could tell me what we had as we were team yellow x

My OH found it hard enough being in the theatre with me (he's terribly squeamish), there's no way he'd have cut the cord even they had let him!
