Thought id post up some of my recipes

Sweet potato with chicken (for age 7months/chunky but can be pureed in a blender)

1 sweet potato
1 carrot
1/4 onion
1/2 celery
1 small handful frozen peas
1 small chicken breast

chop up a chicken breast then steam until tender then put in a blender and pulse into little peices
chop up the potato and carrot into chunks and steam for 3/4 mins then mash together with a bit of the water from steaming
dice the onion and celery and saute in a pan with the peas and a teaspoon of water (you can put this mixture in a blender to puree depending on how chunky your baby likes food) then add to the mash
mix the chicken and mashed veg together

spag bol

roughly 100g minced beef (i use lean)
1 carrot
1/2 onion
3 skinned tomatoes
150ml baby chicken stock
1/4 celery
1/2 teaspoon tom puree
drop of olive oil
3 tablespoons annabel karmel pastashapes

finely chop (or blend) the veg then fry off the onion, celery and carrot then add the beef until browned
chop the tomatoes then add to the pan with the tomato puree and chicken stock
leave to cook for around 15 min
meanwhile cook the pasta then drain and add to the sauce

Thanx for this Tezzy, will write these down x

Thanks Tezzy, I really like the sound of the first one.

Now to sound really stupid. How do you steam the chicken? do you have a special bowl or something ?

i use one of these, you put a couple of inches of water in the bottom pan, then when it is boiling you can add the top two layers and put your food in them, like chicken in the bottom and veg on the top. i then use the water in the bottom pan to help blend the veggies :)

Ok, that makes sense, thanks.

I don't have one of those or anything similar, think its something I should probably invest in if I want to make heathly food for my LO.

i wouldnt say its essential, its just the way i do things!
