My LO just turned 7 months and what feels like all of a sudden my milk seems to be drying up. We started him on solids about a month ago. A few days ago I noticed he wasn't swallowing much while nursing. I gave him a bottle of pumped milk and he drank a few ounces and was content. He slept until about 3 (normally he wakes up at around 1). I nursed him but he didn't really eat much and fell right back to sleep. He woke up at his regular time and I nursed him, but I noticed I wasn't engorged like I expected to be.

I started pumping and I noticed that I was only pumping like 2 ounces instead of my normal 5 ounces. Now I'm down to pumping only .5 to 1 ounce and I don't have much of a freezer stash.

I've been drinking tons of water and trying to nurse frequently, but LO isn't getting any milk until there's a letdown and even after that he's not swallowing for long. I'm pumping now since I remember my LC saying something about milk production increasing during the early morning hours, but I'm still only getting 1 oz at best. I've been eating oatmeal and asparagus since I read those foods help with supply.

What else can I do? I'm not ready to completely wean him.:cry::cry:

Unless he's away from you during the day, I wouldn't worry about the pumping or freezer stash and just keep feeding him per normal. If he's not bothered just go with it, a lot of women don't get engorged, I don't get engorged now but he seems to be getting milk fine.

No not AF. I've been having my period since 10 pp. My supply goes down each time but normally not this much and it comes back right after.
