We suffered an early miscarriage this weekend after what we thought was our miracle bfp. It's obviously harder, and just seems horrible that ANYONE who has been trying so hard for so long would also have to go through a miscarriage as well. So painful. We are trying to be positive, at least we know we can get pregnant naturally..,I just pray we can do it again soon. Not ready to try yet obviously, physically or emotionally. Both of us are taking it all in. Any advice for recovery?

Hi ltruns33,

I am so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, the south is the most difficult thing to recover. I am sure your body will recover very fast. And u will be ready for another go. But always in your mind will be the thought for the lost baby.

I hope u will have your healthy pg very soon. GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm sorry for your lose. We recently had a loss after 3.5years trying. I have no wise words, I'm still stumbling through the dark myself. As has been said your body will heal faster than your mind, take the time to grieve xx

Stumbling around in the dark.. Good description. I just feel numb! Had our first day of school/John coaching today and had to output a lot of mental/emotional energy plus physically just not feeling great! Blah!

Unfortunately there will be a lot of "firsts"

I am so very sorry for your loss. this is most unfair. I have no advice just wanted to wish you strength to get through this and I very much hope you will get your sticky bean soon. I agree the most important thing that you now know you can get pregnant naturally. after TTC for over 3 years with no BFP i sometimes wonder whether it is at all possible for us.

Thanks for the well wishes. Same to you. I see in your signature you're doing acupuncture and Chinese herbs? I love acupuncture, maca root and goji berries. What other Chinese herbs are you on?

I wish you all health and luck in all things ttc.

I'm sorry for your loss, I know what your going through as it took us 6 years to finally concieve just to miscarry at 6 weeks :( seems so unfair. Many women around me have got pregnant at the drop of a hat but not suffer a loss (which I would not wish on anybody). It's just so hard to see cuz we wonder why us? I wish I had some words to make you feel better but honestly you don't get over it. My loss was exact ally a year ago, and I still struggle. We are trying again but it's been hard (I have pcos and need meds to ovulate). I'm so sorry Hun, I feel for you :( :hugs:

Ltruns, I was on daily acupuncture and took Chinese herb tea twice a day for about 10 months. in TCM herbs are considered the most important part of treatment and practitioners will put together a mix of 5-20 different herbs depending on your diagnosis after they examined you. They do not recommend taking a single herb, it's usually a mix because herbs have different properties when they are mixed with certain other herbs. I read about Chinese herbs but it's quite complicated so I'd recommend getting a practitioner (although I changed 3 practitioners and was not happy with any of them, it's really hard to find a good one). I have heard lots of success stories with TCM but unfortunately I am not one of them. I cannot say that acu/herbs made any improvement to my health. the main reason I revert to TCM was to help reduce my FSH but unfortunately it only got higher. I am stopping the herbs now and moving towards natural cycle IVF. My FS says that I can continue acu together with IVF but not the herbs as they can interfere with the process and sometimes created empty follicles.

I put my DH on maca root and goji berries as these supposed to improve sperm count. I think the most well researched herb is probably ginseng, I used to take it to increase my energy levels and I think it worked.

Hi Ltruns33, I've had an early miscarriage over the weekend also (would have been 7 weeks this Friday). After trying for a year and a half we were very excited and hopeful. At the moment I feel more angry and bitter than sad.

I don't have any words of advice I'm afraid, just wanted to say I'm in the same boat, it sucks. :hugs:

The one thing I am going to do to try and get past this is some guided meditation which I know sounds a bit new age and airy-fairy but I really want to get to a place where I feel calm and positive again and I know that will help.

xx

Oh my heart breaks for you. I felt like I was drowning this weekend in heartbreak. I still can't talk about it without crying- but school starting and me being around my team of runners ( a coach) has helped greatly with distracting me. I hope you find your peace- nothing sound crazy to me me I'm all about meditation and natural treatments of infertiliy miscarriage and anxiety/depression related to them!

We did acu/maca/goji this month and I sm confident that really worked for helping hubby's slightly low sperm count since ghst is thd only reason dr can find that we arent conceiving .. and we just did! Even though it didnt stick its an improvenent. We are also using genesus pure goyin and cleanse in our supplement list! I will look at ginseng I love natural stuff, I'm very frustrated with my doctors and their treatment path.

Saw your scripture in your signature. The scripture that pulled me through our mc was Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust him so that you overflow with the hope of the Holy Spirit."
Prayers to you as you grieve and try your best to trust Him.

That's a good one too. Thanks.
