I hope it's ok to share my story here. I'm hoping it will help me come to terms with everything and help me heal.
I was due af on friday 8th demember. When it didn't come I took a hpt on Sunday and got such a squinter I thought it was an evap.
On Monday I started bleeding and bled heavy with clots for 2 days. (Usual af is 6 days) On Wednesday I decided to take another hpt as felt a little sick and got a very faint but definite bfp. I assumed I'd had a chemical pregnancy.
On Friday I took the last hpt and was very surprised to see the strongest bfp I'd ever seen. However I knew something was wrong as since the bleeding I'd continued to spot and had lots of pain on my right side along with strong cramps.
On Saturday my doctor told me to go straight to the early pregnancy unit where they found my hcg level was 500 but my progesterone was only 5nmol so I knew then it was not viable ( but praying for a miracle)
On Monday I had an internal scan where they didn't see anything in my uterus or tubes. They did see that the lining of my womb was very thin.
My hcg level rose to 1700 so trippled within 48h yet my progesterone only rose to 7. I had continued to spot on and off but not enough to make me feel id miscarried.😭
I had another scan 2 days ago where they found my right fallopian tube swollen (salpingitis) and ive since been told it will never heal 😭 I spent 2 nights in hospital and persuaded them to let me come out to spend the next few days with my family. I'm still getting pain and spotting and feel in limbo.
Tomorrow I'm going back for more bloods. They still suspect an ectopic. If my blood levels come down they think it will have sorted itself out. If they rise I'll go into surgery. I've also had swabs take to check for pelvic inflamation disease.
Thank you for reading. I feel very emotional and sad.
The doctor has said if we want to ttc (we do next year) that I will need my right tube clipped or removed.
