Hi I would like to share my experience. I had a miscarriage in February last year at almost 11 weeks. I fell pregnant straight away. I've had an enlarged thyroid nodule since I was a child and was put on low dosage medication a week before my miscarriage. A few months after my miscarriage I had half my thyroid removed. My hormones returned back to normal. Since the surgery I haven't needed medication for it. A few more months of trying and I demanded blood test by my doctor. Thyroid levels came back normal a little on the borderline of hypothyroidism but still in the normal range. Full blood test with estrogen and testosterone came back normal too. I asked my gp for metformin and she was reluctant to give me the lowest dosage as my bloods were in the normal range. I was put on metformin xr 500mg once at night. I asked for a uterine ultrasound. Both my ovaries had almost 20 cysts each and a tiny uterine polyp was discovered. I had another surgery to remove that tiny polyp and a D&C almost 4 months ago. After that 2nd surgery I had cycle tracking done I ovulated about day 18 on a 32 day cycle but my periods have been between 29 to 35 days since November 2014. Before my miscarriage it was every 28 days then after my missed carriage it was all over the place till November last year. I started metformin on NYE. So I can't really tell me my body ok or not? I would just like your thoughts, your own experiences. Thank you.
