Hi everyone. Got my BFP on 12/1/12, never been so happy in my life. Had waited for so long to see that strong blue line on a test. Got pregnant within 2 months of coming off cerazette, didn't even get a period before my BFP!
Started with light brown discharge 3 days ago, was vet scared, guess I knew deep down what was going to happen but didn't give up hope. By mon evening I took off my bra and no longer had the heavy, sore boobs feeling, upon wiping the discharge got darker. By Tuesday morning it got heavier. Went to doc and he just chatted to me and said I was having a spontaneous miscarriage. So now, 3 days later, I'm still bleeding heavily, dark red blood with the occasional very small clot. Had mild cramping with occasional pain yesterday. I'm devastated. I can't bear the thought of going back to work and facing people and a pregnant collegue. Doc said there's no need to wait, once I'm feeling emotionally ready and bleeding has stopped then just go for it. My trouble is my fiancé is in the army, on a course at mo so mostly only home at weekends, then he's going to afghan in march for 6 months. At nearly 42, my time is running out and Im feeling like it's never gona happen for me.
Has anyone had any successful stories conceiving successfully straight after a miscarriage? Particulary round my age group?
Forgot to say the day before I started with brown discharge I did another test which still read 1-2 weeks and should have said 3-4 so I guess my hcg levels were dipping before my bleed. My boobs still look veiny and full, I can't bare to look at myself in the mirror cause my body still looks pregnant and it breaks my heart.
Any advice or successful stories would be great to hear.
Good luck to everyone xxx

I haven't had any scans or checks of any kind as was only 5 weeks and 2 days. I keep worrying how do I know when it's all over/ gone? Doc just said when I stop bleeding so I'm guessing that's it. I'll do a test in a week to make sure it says I'm not pregnant (which will break my heart) but I guess at least I will know my hcg levels will have gone back to normal. Stupidly earlier, clutching at straws, I hunted through net, giving myself false hopes that maybe I miscarried a twin and maybe there's still one in there! Cause of my boobs still being full and nausea this mowning. Just all in my head though!
Oh I do hope someone has a success story of a BFP straight after a miscarriage. My age is concerning me too.
I feel hopeless right now x

I am so sorry you are going through this. I have 3 boys 20,17 and 11 and I lost my Ava at 20 weeks pregnant. I gave birth to her and we buried her on 3/11/2011. This is a very hard thing to go through. I also am 41 and was 40 at the time I got the shock of my life being pregnant with Ava. It is very sad we have to go through this :cry::cry:
Please don't feel hopeless, you can't let you age or me let my age deter us.
It is only now 11 months later that I feel strong enough to try again.
It is true that you are most fertile after a loss. Did they tell you why you lost your baby or any info? Do you have other kids? If you look down the forum you will see the loss forums and I think if you post there you will get more responses . If you ever need tot talk I am here..
XOXOOX So sorry for your loss :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:
