After experiencing brown spotting, then heavy red blood and pains I went for an early scan that showed my babies heart had stopped only week ago, at 6weeks 3 days. Im at home and waiting to miscarry naturally, I'm getting alot of brown thick lumpy discharge (sorry for tmi) and am just wanting to kno what to expect.

hi....

i am so sorry that this is happening.........

i had a natural miscarriage in march........i was 10 weeks.....if you are getting a lot of discharge, then that is a sign that it is happening naturally.....for me, there was a lot of blood over about 10 days, with the first 2 having terrible pains too...

i wish i could help though....this is so unfair....if you need someone to talk, i am here.......

take care....:hugs:

TMI
Hi hun, i had a natural m/c in june. It started with losing red blood and clots and then i got painful period like pains and i passed the sac. After that i bled (period like some smaller clots) for nearly 2 weeks.

I am so sorry you are going through this hun, it's such a heartbreaking experience. We're all here for you if you want to talk xxx

I had a m/c in Jan at 6 weeks and I bled very heavily for 2 weeks with really heavy clots and I saw the phetul pole too. Still haunts me.

Then I had a missed m/c in May and I had a ERPC (D&C) on May16th as I waited at home for 2 weeks for it to happen naturally but it didn't so I had the op to prevent infection and because I couln't take any more waiting, it was torture.

I am sorry this is happening to you hun, it is awful but be prepared, it can be worse than you imagined hun :hugs:

so sorry for your loss! You should definitly expect some fresh bright red blood to start happening or if it stays brown you can assume its not doing its thing naturally. I've had 3 M/C's and they each hurt like hell for about an hour and then the cramps/pain became much more managable throughout the next 6 or so hours and then I was just left with bleeding for a week-2weeks. I can't see where you live, but I'm in the US, and after this last MC my doc gave me some pills after I passed everything that made the bleeding stop within 12 hours. I don't hear much of that being said on here, so I don't think those pills are typical but just thought I'd throw that out there for the ladies on this board, there IS something the docs can do to help stop the bleeding (AFTER your MC is complete)

Im so sorry for your loss! I cant really answer your question as i had a D&C after mine but i didn't want to read and run! We are all here for you if you would like to talk about anything!

Sorry if this sounds silly, but what is the phetul pole?

Also alot of you hav said they knew when they lost their sac, does this happen with most people and what is it like? I just want to b prepared for whatever I might see.

Hey.....

:hug:It wasn't very nice I will be honest I didn't feel any pain with it I just felt like something had come out, so I went to the toilet and it was pink/grey and bloody like a big clot/tissue sorry (tmi) I rang the EPU and they told me to bring it with me to A&E which is what I did they confirmed it was indeed the sac.....:cry:I then had to sign 2 forms 1 deciding if I wanted it cremating or a burial and if I would give them permission to do testing which I did......

Yes I think so, you should ring your early pregnancy unit and they SHOULD advise you to come in and be checked over...but I would imaging each region is different

I was 6wks when I had a miscarriage and it wasn't much different to a heavy period....maybe a bit more "achey" and heavier but apart from a few clots I didn't see more than that. The baby wouldn't have been more than a couple of mm long so you wouldn't see anything recogniseable at this stage anyway....which makes it slightly easier than a miscarriage later on.

So sorry you've had to go through this babe, the pregnancy I'm carrying now was originally a twin pregnancy but I lost one... but I know I'm lucky to still be pregnant with another and can sympathise with you as I've had my share of bad luck too. I hope you're ok:hugs:

Hi there
Just to let you know I'm going through exactly the same as you and know how you feel -.

I went for an early scan last week at just over 8 weeks and was told my baby had stopped developing at 5-6 weeks. I too am waiting to miscarry and have been having discharge like you are, but today it has gone more red. I am also wondering what to expect. My DH is away this weekend so am desperately hoping that the worst is over by then - don't fancy going through it on my own!

I am feeling a bit more positive today and looking forward to TTC again. Not sure whether or not to wait for one AF first though. What about you?

Im so sorry for your loss! I kno how hard it is, so please if u need to talk pm me. its been around 10 days since i started bleeding, at the time i was a wreck, but now im doin well, it does get easier!

Weve decided to wait til Nov to try again, my body has been thru too much this past 8 weeks or so, think it deserves a break.

Just before I fell pregnant I had an appendisectomy, then caught pregnant the cycle following the surgery (had been trying for 10 weeks previous).
And now still trying to deal with this mc thort it wud b best to wait.

As for my mc, still not much has happened, its been 10 days since I started bleeding on and off, but no clots or much pain sorry for TMI.

Got a scan booked next wed (10th) to see how things hav happened, but think Im gonna ened up having a D&C :(

I've had differing advice - the nurses at EPAU advised wait at least until your next AF as you are a little bit more likely to mc again in the cycle right after an mc. Other info onthe net says that advice to wait is based only on ease of dating the next pregnancy as mc can delay your ov. I guess all you can do is see how you feel!

DH and I have decided to wait until my next AF then try again in October, mostly to make sure we're fully recovered mentally, but I'm C14 today and am finding it difficult not to try right away. Guess I'll definately be ready next cycle.

Hugs.
