missing mirena coil

I was just wondering if anyone elses coil has ever done a disappearing act and what the outcome was, had it been expelled or gone north?

Cant feel mine at the moment, not in any pain or bleeding so not sure if its there at all. Off to get it checked tomorrow.

Hi ya hun, yeah me, my coil fell out and I had to go for a scan to see if it was up in my womb but it was nowhere to be found so yeah it fell out.

usually you lose the threads as they curl up the cervix
but of course it could always fall out!
