Mixed emotions about infertility specialist

So it's been seven unsuccessful months for me so today I saw my family doctor who uttered the words, "infertility specialist". I knew it was the next step for me that is why I went to see my doctor but I was a little taken back by "infertility". All this time I was calling them "fertility specialists". I'm still optimistic as I can be but there's something in that word that kind of takes your breath away for a second.

Anyway, one thing my doctor did tell me (for what it's worth - another doctor may swear by it) but she said to not bother with evening primrose oil. She said it isn't proven to do anything for fertility. She said to stick with a muliti-vitamin and folic acid. So just thought I'd toss that out there for anyone new to the game of TTC.
