Mixed messages

I need some advice ladies.

Jack is 11 weeks old and I'm still feeding on demand. Is this correct or should I have introduced set feed times. The reason I ask is a friend has just done this, but my thinking was that we all have days where we are hungrier than others and so demand feeding seems to be more appropriate for this. But now I'm really confused

I always fed on demand...they are toddlers and I still do haha. They have a semi set schedule now of course, but there are days where they are hungrier and we will add in more snacks, or move feeding times up. So I say stick with on demand

Did Jack ever get himself into a routine where you could say between x and y hour is when he'll (probably) want feeding?

For example, if he usually wakes up wanting feeding between 10 and 11am, then you could let him get to 11.30am and if he still hasn't woken up then wake him up and feed him?

Not sure if that's the best thing or not but we've been trying that with Violet and even if she hasn't woken herself for a bottle, she still drinks her usual amount and settles well again after.

The only ones that are set are bedtime 20.30 but that's cos I push that one and he normally wakes between 2.30 and 4.30 in the morning. the rest is guess work and he can go from between 2 hours to 5 hours during the day

i'm the same as you clare-lou her only set feed is at 10pm so i know that she will sleep till at least 6am with that last feed but during the day i feed on demand as i wouldn't be able to set time as sometimes she will wake up at 8am 10am or even 11am when we have had a fussy fit before bed lol

i feed ruby on demand during the day then make her last bottle quite warm for her between 8 - 9pm and she sleeps till 8am the next day

We feed on demand, although AJ rarely cries for his bottle (never really has) and now takes them around the same time. I now make his bottle and his lil face lights up, bless.

I have Chloe on a 4 hourly routine during the day, sometimes its about 15 minutes either way but its usually 6.00am, 10.00am, 2.00pm, 6.00pm, 10.00pm then she goes till 6.00am again.

She has about 5oz sometimes abit less but not very often much more than that

I feed on demand too. Like you say we all have days when we are hungrier than others so I figure my LO will be the same too.
