mixin' it up

The best thing to do is to think of your child at 18 or 21 or 30 applying for a job. A CV for Pixie Louloubelle may not be viewed as favourably as Rachel Hannah or whatever. Sounds unfair? That's life!

There is nothing wrong with trying to be a bit different but popular names are popular for a reason!

It is a very personal thing though, so certainly not trying to offend!

Bit harsh Florabelle! I don't believe in all this chavvy name business .. A person represents a name, not the other way around! I named my son Jayden and I am certainly not a chav!

I am sooo fussy theres no point in me even listing the names, it would just go on forever :haha:

My only real pet peeve is when people try and be 'unique' and different, the poor kid just ends up with the most ridiculous name!

Whoops, sorry. I didn't mean to offend. I've worked as a nanny/nursery nurse for over 10 years and it's just been my personal experience. I think Jayden and Hayden may have been a little harsh coming into the chavvy catagory. They fall more in a modern name category. I should have put that as I'm more of a traditional name girl. I stand by names like Destiny/Destinee etc being chavvy I'm afraid though.

Apologies again.

Very suprised to see my name on here lol it doesn't come up much in these boards and not suprised to see my sons name since its in the most used names for years and years anyway Ill not name all the girl names I don't like because that list would go on and on I've yet to find a girl name I liked well enough to name my child lol but for boys names I don't like any aiden Jayden hayden etc just because of how popular they are now and I don't like any name ending in son like addison or jackson but I love the name Jaxon lol I could go on...

No offence taken! Just wanted to point out you don't have to be a chav to use the Jayden/Aiden kind of names :winkwink:
