mixing formula with breast x

hey, wasnt sure where to post this so ill post in breast too.

well my friend is planning on formula feeding for the majority but wonders if its possible to breast feed. say at night ???

is there anyone that does this or is it even possible to do this, i know taking to breast,bottle or both all depends on the baby. but she just wanted to know if its ok, i guess, to do both formula and breast.
