DD is 8 months so this isn't for now, but I wish I had a sling when she was tiny instead of the ssc I bought. I def want a sling for my next LO (not planned yet!) but as my sis is due in a week I thought I could buy one now, lend it to her and then have it back for my own. Can anyone recommend either the moby or close carrier? I def need to be able to BF in it, but I'm also looking for ease, comfort etc. Can you lovely ladies please let me know your opinions? :flower:

I like my close carrier, its very easy to use and lovely when they are small. Unfortunately my LO is a chunk and at 20lb is getting a bit heavy for it now so i've only been able to use it a couple of times x

I've got a Mamas and Papas Flo Wrap, which is just like the Moby, and I love it! I really don't think I could manage without it now. But I've never tried a different type of carrier, so I don't really have any basis for comparison!
I'd suggest trying a few different types of carrier before you commit to buying one, if you can.

We used the moby with DS1 which was a godsend because he was v clingy.
Took a bit of practice and because I'm short was harder to get on when out and about without getting the ends a bity dirty (dragging on the floor while tieing)
Loved it indoors and duly intend to use for #2

MOBY absolutely!!! I love it! It saved my life in the beginning and still continues to save the day today :D

I also recommend a Moby . . it's a real life saver when they are a newborn! I actually still use mine for my 19 month old since he's under the weight limit :)

I love my Moby, Ergo, and ring sling. Its really a personal preference. The ergo is the easiest one to put on and baby in IMO. I use the wrap when its cool out and when we are out during nap time because she sleeps well in it. I use the ring sling when we are going places where I will be sitting since I can sit her on my hip in it I used it when she was an infant. I use my Ergo for walks, sudden trips and when I go shopping alone because I feel like I can move the best in it. I don't fit the Moby exactly how your suppose to because she wants to be sideways in it so she can see everything.

I did not get the Ergo (close carrier) till she was 3 almost 4 moths and I could survive without it but I just like how fast I can get it on. I also like how I can put it on outside the house without worring about it getting dirty. I probably should have gone with a combo of the two now looking back.. Moby has one and Mei Tai is another brand I hear and see a lot.

FYI There is a board on here that talks about the carriers.. "Natural Parenting".... you may find more info there!
