According to my calendar, my period was supposed to come today. I always start in the morning, but didn't. I tested and got a BFN. I kept telling myself that I wasn't going to test until the end of the week in case for some reason I was off on my dates. I also told myself while waiting on the test that I wasn't going to get my hopes up.

I can't help but to feel a little disappointed even though I know it could take months or more to conceive our baby.

The same happened to me last month, my first month TTC. I've ALWAYS gotten my AF first thing in the morning. The day before I always get really bad cramps and then the next morning I wake up, go to the bathroom and poof, she's there. This month, there was no sign of her. No cramps the day before, nothing there in the morning so I tested and got a BFN. About 12pm the cramps came and AF arrived within 2 hours.

Oh well, month two is half over now. Waiting to ovulate and then I'll be off to the TWW.

Thanks ladies. There is still no sign of AF. I had a doctor's appointment Thursday. Just a check-up for my insurance and they did a pee test and it was negative. *shrugs* I don't know! DH keeps telling me I'm pregnant and it's just not showing up yet. Who knows? My doctor told me to wait 2 more weeks (from Thursday the 28th) and test again if I haven't gotten my period by then.

Oh sweetheart, this keeps happening to me too. Please try not to be too disappointed if you get a negative test this month, I have everything crossed for you and that you don't have to go through the months or years of waiting, anguish and disappointment. It could just be the excitement of your first month TTC making your hormones and cycle a bit out of sync, or you could have a wonderfully exciting BFP!!!! On the 1st try no less haha

Still waiting on AF. I won't be devastated if she comes, a little disappointed, but I'll be okay with it. I just wish she would come if she's coming. Haha! Trying to wait until the 12th to test again like my doctor said. She said I'm not off on the date of my period (I keep a record of it), but I may be off on the dates of my ovulation, so I may have not been far enough along when I tested and when she tested. Pregnant on the first try would be AMAZING, but I would be okay with AF too. I'm just getting impatient not knowing anything!

Hi NellaE, I'm getting sick of waiting for the too! Not back in cycles after coming of bcp in march. Did a test but think I'm on cd 62 or 33 if you count some spotting I had as af?? Come on, hurry back and let me get on with next try!!

I'm 3 days late, mine always shows up first thing when I wake up as well. BFN. Why does this happen? Just when I think I've found a pattern in my stupid cycle, it messes up all over again. I'm wishing you luck though. Could still be early. I know I'm probably out this month.

Thanks for asking! No AF yet. Waiting until Thursday (12th) to test again.

I've gotten sick a couple of times after eating some greasy comfort food which is odd, but other than that, I have no other symptoms. DH says I'm moody, but I blame that on not knowing anything yet. Haha! =)

Hi NellaE, is this your first baby? I'm trying with DB to conceive. I haven't done any tests yet but still early days. I'm using this website for advice and tips. I really hope you get a BFP on your next test. You're DH sounds very supportive. Xx

Yes, this is our first baby and we are so excited to finally begin trying. My DH is amazing and supports every "crazy" thing I do.

Be sure to let us know NellaE, I really hope you get a BFP and no AF. If I get my AF then at least I can properly calculate ov but if db and me bd everyday then I'm hopeful. Xx

Oh I completely understand your frustration! I was due for AF last Thursday and so far she still hasn't shown up. And I too have had only BFNs. However I was very wet (sorry if tmi) all week last week so I took a OPK again too just to see what would happen and it gave me a positive. So now I am really confused; like you I wish AF would show up if she was coming so I can get on with my next cycle. Of course a BFP would be better!
