Hey Ladies,

The last couple of days I have felt sick all day long, but haven't actually thrown up. I have found that if I eat something, I feel better? But that means eating every half hour to an hour! I'll be the size of a house if I carry on but it seems to be the only way I feel better :(

Have been trying to snack on fruit, dry toast, rich tea biscuits and avoiding anything too rich or spicy. Does anyone else have to eat to ease the sicky feeling?! x

Yes!

I eat all day long. Or a milkshake seems to do the trick too. I vomit no matter what first thing (have done since 5w5d)

Then I just graze all day long. Seems to keep it at bay. Usual stuff doesn't work for me either. I can't stand dry crackers and biscuits. I've been eating whatever I fancy. Which seems to be anything with gravy

i was exactly d same!! i was glad i wasnt actually sick tho

I haven't been throwing up either & I find eating helps a bit. Although if I go too long without food then the though of eating makes me feel worse.

Hiya, I had exactly the same in my first few weeks, I found whenever I wasn't eating I was nauseous. The best thing for me was finer biscuits as they filled me up, but also the ginger helps with the nausea.
I put on 5 pounds in the first two weeks, but have maintained than now through to week 8, so I'm not too worries about the weight gain. I would have eaten 4000 calories a day just to feel better!
Happy and healthy pregnancies to you all :0)

I'm the same. I feel awful and can't stomach the thought of eating, but it makes me feel less sick definitely. I'm also afraid I'm going to end up huge. That said I've actually lost 2lbs since I found out I was pregnant, probably because I am eating more healthy, low fat snacks than before?

There isn't much we can do about it. We just have to do whatever we can to stop feeling sick.

I haven't suffered from any actual vomiting but I do get queazy which is solved by eating, yes! Around 5-6pm every night I feel really ropey too, but after my tea I feel better. I don't seem to struggle on a morning but again, it will creep up on me when it wants breakfast!

Sorry, dam iPhone, I meant ginger biscuits not finer!!!

I feel like I need to eat every two hours...if not I get a hunger feeling like I have days without eatting. I did notice too that if I drink water it will go away so I am having this theory that maybe I was dehydrated, I started to drink more water and voilá...my extreme hunger has disappeared...

I find crackers are good, kids' yoghurt pots, or weirdly enough a few Haribo. I also find if I eat a big meal I feel nauseous.

I had the same thing! I also was worried about gaining too much, but found it impossible to survive the day without eating every 1-2 hours. I just made sure to eat small snacks and meals to spread my calories out during the day. Lots of crackers, toast and carbs I ate. The good news is that this will pass and you will be able to eat more normally once it passes! Altogether I gained 5.6 lbs the first trimester. I'm pretty happy with that considering all that I ate, lol! I also never threw up, just wished and prayed I would some days.

I'm not but 3wks 3/4 days abd yesterday my nausea started.. A constant lingering of nausea and yes a snack makes it better... Today I brought caramel popcorn cakes to try and Sprite to drink... Hope this doesn't last to long since it started so early...lol

Sounds like the start of MS!! That is exactly how mine started around 6 weeks. Then come 8 weeks I started to throw up unless I kept food in my stomach at all times.

Sea bands have been helpful with the nausea so I would recommend trying them out.
