Morris???

My granddad was a Maurice and I like the name but prefer to modernise the spelling. Do you think it's an odd thing to call a baby tho?? Obviously would be referred to as Mo or Little Mo orMole but don't know if its too weird / old fashioned?? Don't want him getting bullied lol

Maurice and Morris to me have different pronunciations.
Maurice = More-eese vs Morris = More-isss

I prefer the name/spelling Maurice, nn could be Maury as well.

Morris reminds me of "Zach Morris" on "Saved by the Bell"

DH dad is called Maurice and if we have a boy (don't know what baby is) I really don't want to have it! DD has both our mums names as her middle name so I kind of feel if its a boy it should have our dads... but I'm sorry I really don't like the name Maurice and I'm trying to think of a way round having it My dad is called John so that isn't a problem!

I'm not a fan sorry. Maybe as a middle name? We've honoured family members by using their names as our children's middle names, Or Reece as in the last sounding of Maurice?
