I feel in a pretty good place right now even though the split with my husband came out of the blue and I did not want it at all. I feel sad that I could not make him happy, however relieved that I no longer have the burdan of trying to make him happy. Therefore I think I am dealing with things quite well and do not often get sad. However the the thought of mothers day tomorrow is making me very sad. Not because I miss him per se, but just because I should be at home with my husband and baby being spoiled, and I'm not.

Go and spoil yourself! You do not need a man to justify your own self worth, you are amazing and beautiful and you have carried and birthed life which is amazing in itself. It is good that you can feel relieved over not having to 'burden of trying to make him happy' and can see beyond the breakup and begin to see the positive.

Stay strong, smile! :hugs:

i know how you feel, i'm not sad that it's mothers day as such i'm sad that all my hopes and dreams seemed to go when my husband left. i'd always pictured my first mothers day being really special and now it's just another day xxx
