Is this possible? Everything I've read sounds like it's not, but I swear I'm feeling little bubbles that do not feel like gas at all and they are pretty high, maybe even up to 2 inches above my belly button.

I am carrying very high- it's the first thing everyone says to me when they see me, haha. My belly actually pokes out more right above my belly button and then goes in if that makes sense, it's weird. It feels a lot harder right above my belly button then below too.

Anyone else?? My next appt is on Wednesday so maybe when they look for the heartbeat that'll help to see where baby is located.

I just felt a bigger feeling than I ever have! Maybe it if not baby it's some sort of muscle spasm? It really doesn't feel like gas.

I do have a really short torso so maybe that has something to do with it?

They say your uterus doesn't reach your bellybutton until 20 weeks but I guess you never know. If you're carrying high and you think you're feeling baby then you must be :)

If you have a very short torso I guess it could be possible but as PP said, it's more likely a muscle spasm. Things are getting really squished up in there and nerves can get trapped very easily!

Either that or he/she is whacking the top of your uterus and the feeling is just transferring upwards.

I read that your uterus doesn't reach your belly button until 20 weeks. Maybe where everything has been squashed and pushed upwards it is gas but feels different because it's much higher than you're used to?
I'm also carrying high but all my baby movements are really low down xx

At 15 weeks, my uterus was right at my belly button, MW confirmed that, so did the ultrasound tech. Its grown a little over since then, now at 19 weeks. Its totally possible. Ive been feeling movement all over, mostly down lower, but sometimes above the belly button, and way over by the ribs. OH even felt a light rib flutter over the weekend. :)

I had my anomaly scan yesterday at 19+4 and baby was lying just above my belly button! I've been feeling tighter/harder above my belly button for just over a week so now I know it's because she likes it up there lol It's definitely possible. I'm only 5"2 and this is my second pregnancy so that could be why x

Of course it is possible! Everyone is different along with their babies and the way their uterus and such grows. Whenever I sit, I feel my boy higher than I would if I am standing or laying down.

I'm not even 5'2" and I started feeling kicks very high up early on. Now, I regularly feel movement under by right boob/tucked into the rib cage. But I'm measuring a week ahead and so is the baby.

I've definitely felt movement above my belly button this week. It's definitely possible! :)

I am 17.5 weeks today, and just yesterday I felt a poke/push an inch above my belly button as I was lying down. I am confident it is the baby. Now, I am actually 5'1" and have a very short torso, so I think it would be likely that the baby is higher right now. I am really excited, before I felt the blood pump to the baby (it's like feeling a heartbeat, really cool). This is my first child and so I spoke to my mother in regards to it, as she had four pregnancies and three children about it. Also, the bump is clearly above the belly button. Old wives tale suggests that this baby is a girl considering how high I am carrying it, when before it was below my belly button (in fact, just a month and a half ago, and two weeks ago it was higher)...and I really hope it is! Although, I of course would love whatever gender it is (did pendulum tests, and had my reiki teacher do it also we both got the same result no matter how we asked). It is possible that I have twins and the other is hiding as well which is probably why it is so pronounced at this stage.
