Hi everyone,

I have received a letter today telling me my housing benefit in being cut and my council tax is going up. As it is just me and my daughter I would struggle...I work 18 hours a week and am full time at college (access course) so havent even time to earn more money and still see my daughter :nope:

I am considering moving back to my parents for a while and saving some money....has anyone done this with their child?

Just wondering what it was like....I spend a lot time at my parents and we are very close but I worry about keeping my role as Mummy with my mum there too - if that makes any sense???

it all depeends on your realtionship with your mum and what she is like. I lived with my mum and she left me to it. Just helping if i needed her to. She left it all to me and my partner. If it helps financially then it will be great. Only downside woud be if your mum has room for you then you wouldnt be high up for council/housing ass housing when you left as they have room for you. But if you get some savings you may not need it anyway

I get on very well with my mum....might not get on so well living together! haha.
There is plenty of room for us as me and my daughter both have rooms there anyway - just can't decide whether it would drive me mad!

I moved back in with my mum for a bit and it drove me mad but that's due to me being a private person and liking my own space and mum smokes which I hate. The kids loved it having mum and nanna about though and I do wish I had used the time to save some money as I got tax credits and was quite affluent.....but squandered it....although mostly on the kids so they loved it even more lol
