My 26mo (tomorrow) daughter has been going to a childminder since she was 10.5 months and is settled there - she shows affection for the childminders and for the other kids there, and talks about them at home.
The childminder is near home, so convenient for drop offs and pick ups, and means DH can drop her off a bit later than I could in the morning meaning she spends less time there overall than she would at the nursery we would send her to, as DH couldn't drop off there.
However recent happenings have made me think it might be better to move her. Nothing catastrophic, I'm just not 100% happy with the lack of information I get when I pick her up...they let me know how she's been in general but not what they've been up to really. They don't do a daily diary, we get a summary and some photos every 4 months or so. They can't/wont potty train in the way we've been doing it at home, and insist that she's in pull ups, which has stalled the whole process and made her resistant to going on the potty at home. They have the tv on more than I would like. And they've just had a 'requires improvement' on their ofsted (they were graded 'good' when we started).
I worry about how she'd react to being moved from a place she's familiar and happy with, especially at the moment when she's going through some sort of phase where she doesn't want to go out, and is really shy and reluctant around people she doesn't know. I don't want to cause her any trauma or upset, but I don't want to leave her in a place where she's not receiving the best support to develop to her fullest potential, although she is well looked after while she's there.
I just really don't know what to do
