Anyone here know a lot about this gene mutation?? I stumbled across a article about migraines and Mthfr. So I started looking more info up. I then went back to look at some of my blood work while pregnant.

I found in my ob panel that my MCH/MCV were listed as being high. So I look that up and it talks about folate deficiency/b12 deficiency. Does anyone know if this is true or if these acronyms are what are looked at when looking at a Mthfr mutation?

I'm sorry I have no information for you, but I'm interested in finding out more, as well. I've seen women on this board talk about that gene mutation before.

I have mthfr homozygous a1298c, meaning I have two copies of the same mutation.
My doctor put me on 81mg asprin daily, and I take a special prenatal with active forms of folate, and B vitamins. And I eat veggies high in folate.
The prenatal I take is emerald laboratories prenatal.
Also with MTHFR you must avoid folic acid in foods, and supplements because it blocks absorbtion of the active folate.
Folic acid is a man made chemical that people with MTHFR can't absorb, It is toxic to us.

I do not know what MCH/MCV is sorry.

Hope I could help some.
