Mucinex to thin CM

Hi everyone,

Ttc 1 year...appointment with fertility specialist end of May...I figured I would give this Mucinex thing a try, anyone have experience doing this? I got the plain kind (no letters after "Mucinex") and guaifenesin is the only active ingredient. It's 600 mg.

I'm on cd 11, normally ovulate around cd16. How much am I suppose to take?

I bought the dollar store brand, I take one in the mornings with my vitamins.

I've been taking 600 mg every day for the past 4 days. Expecting to O in the next 3 days-figure it's worth a shot before my appointment with a fertility specialist. I'm sure they will have a better plan lol

You can try taking another dose in the afternoon as well.

Mucinex that is only guaifenesin can help thin your cervical mucus to help if you don't produce a lot of ewcm. It's REALLY important though that you get the kind that is 100% guaifenesin because anything else with antihistamines in it can have the opposite effect and dry you out. I've been trying it the last couple of cycles and have noticed a difference after I take it. I've been taking 400mg twice a day (sometimes three) when I'm around my fertile period. I used to not notice any ewcm at all but with this I've seen some fwiw. I also invested in preseed and love it. It feels 1000% natural. I'd use it anytime regardless of ttc
