Hey guys... :)

I have a concern and curious if anyone has any advice or experience....

Monday morning I got up and went to the bathroom wiped and find thick mucus with a tinge of blood. I wasn't too worried, had an appointment that day and OB wasn't concerned.

Last night I started cramping and tummy was going hard... Made me have to use the bathroom and when I wiped this time I had more mucus that was even thicker like a mucus plug, this time the blood was a bit more but not a ton. Bright red so it was fresh...

I heard losing your plug is normal and it regenerates itself... But my concern is the blood.... Like bloody show.

With my first I lost a ton of my plug and never any blood until the last bit which I was soon rushing to hospital because I was in labor...

Should I be concerned? ER? Or just keep my eye on it?

Personally I'd ring someone and see if you can get checked. Always best to be safe.

After having cramps too I would suggest seeing a midwife

Yes ring midwife just to get checked! How many weeks are you?

I would ring midwife or someone to get checked out. I had bloody show one morning at 6am. Was told I was in labour (I wouldn't have known felt no contractions but they were showing on machine)

Anyway lo didn't arrive until 3 days later.

I would certainly call someone and get yourself checked over. Good luck x

Waiting for an update, hope all is okay :)

I mentioned mucus to my midwife and she said as long as it's not HUGE like the whole plug or bloody then she's not concerned.

So I'd definitely get up the hospital so they can monitor your cramps to make sure it's not mild contractions. You're right it may be something that re generates itself but if there's blood and cramps along with it id be more reassured to get it checked. Maybe take it inside a pad or take a photo to show the hospital exactly how much blood was in it just so they have a better idea of whether it's a concern or not.

Please keep us updated xx

The cramping stopped and nothing else appeared since then. But I'm keeping my eye on it. Hoping it doesn't happen again, but if it does... This will prob sound gross... But I'll try and save whatever it is so I can show them. Lol... And go into the ER. Do you think it would be too gross to bring them it? Lmfao... I wouldn't want to be the one to have to see someone else's icky... But that's why I'm not in the medical field...

I'll go in if I start cramping again too.
I just feel hesitant because I went to the ER last month over severe stomach pain that turned out to be nothing but horrifying gas. Who knew gas could hurt so bad... So I was a bit embarrassed. :/

A call to the midwife wouldn't hurt. Even just to monitor the baby and check the heartbeat.

Gas pain can be really severe, don't be embarassed. I thought I was having strange Braxton hicks and it was just severe gas pain.
