I'm not 100% sure as I haven't had my second section yet (2 weeks to go) but I think they go in the same incision. I think I read somewhere that second sections can take longer because it's harder to cut through the old scar tissue.
Mine was cut along the exact same scar as last time. A lady i work with has had 4 sections and 3 were done in the same scar and the fourth in a new one about a centimeter above the other one. It depends on the scar tissue from before. My cut this time was smaller than the one before. They didn't go all the way to the end because i had more scar tissue at one end due to an infection the first time.
As they went in the same scar my recovery this time was amazing. I was painting and doing housework the same week i had it.
I have had 2 emergency sections and they went in using the same scar for the second section. It follows exactly the same line, right down to a slightly wonky but it one end!
I just had my 3rd section 3weeks ago and they have used the same incision line as my first 2, i know they cut open my uterus in different places each time though and especially this time as i had alot of scat tissue that had to be removed. xx
I have an up/down abdo scar, from my tummy button down to my pubic bone...... not sure what they will do with me as my scar is thick at the bottom and have a funny hole where it didnt heal properly. I will find out on Thursday
I've had my 3rd section less than 3 weeks ago. My incision lines are right on top of each other so much so as you can barely see the different lines. I'm from the us btw.
Same line, in the US. It looks even better now than after the first, and the first already looked fab.
Uterus, no idea. That's the crucial bit though in terms of scar tissue...
