I've been putting blankets under his Moses basket mattress so it's at an angle, I was advised to do this by a nurse as she said it would help with acid and stop it rising in his sleep. It seems to work but he slides down and by the morning his legs are squashed at the end of the basket and not sure if blankets under his mattress can be good for his back? It doesn't seem to bother him and he's slept fine but still makes me worry about his back and legs.

I have seen the wedge pillows but they go at the top of the basket/cot and that goes against putting baby at foot of basket to sleep. Plus he's still going to slide down. I've tried putting it at a lower angle and also putting him flat to sleep but he seems to wake crying and can hear his reflux.

Any ideas or what do u do for ur babies? X

He used to slide down to the bottom of his crib as well, never seemed to bother him. We didn't put things under the mattress we put books under the legs! Now he can roll he sleeps on his belly and doesn't slide down anymore :)

Thanks, I wish I could put something under the legs but its a rocking stand!

Hi. We raised the legs of the cot with some books at the head end (i have to say it made no difference, we did this for 2 months) then at 5 months he rolled over and slept on his tummy, the longest sleep he had ever had, my hv said that was fine esp as we had a breathing monitor. Genie sleeps all the time on his tummy.
Is your lo on any medication.
is lo ff as ours was but didn't settle on quite a few of them.
The website crying over split milk was very good ( Google it, its based in nz but still helpful with medication tips etc.
X

He did seem to slide a little less in a sleeping bag.

Can you not wedge the rocking stand so its pointing down and therefore on a slant? If you know what I mean by that…

Edit: just remembered most rock sideways so that won't work!

We have just taken a cushion out from under ds2 mattress. To stop him sliding down I would scrunch up a blanket and put it between his bottom and knees. I found he slept better laying on his side. Naughty I know but it was comfortable for him

We also put booked under my lgs cot. Shes 10 months now and sleeps on her front as its more comfortable for reflux babies x

Lo always had to go on side, rolled up towel/blanket in front/begins so he didn't roll, currently napping that way!

On a wedge with me in bed, napping in cot with wedge, my dream genie pillow blocking bottom of cot, do same in basket/pram, towel under head of mattress. Best sleeps in car seat all bundled up warm (just not overnight as they can overheat in them I know)

Xx

Mine slept in a Rock-n-Play Sleeper... saved my life!

It's snug and on an incline. It's got a pretty hefty weight limit, so it can be used for awhile.

My baby went into her crib around 5 months when her reflux started to improve with no issues.

We did the same.

He's slept on his tummy sInce he learned to roll there himself, which was around 4 months.
