i usuay just just linger on here and never actually talk because most of my questions are answered in all your posts. i havent had even a half decent sleep since my daughter was around 4 months old and ive exhausted all ideas.

i plan on replacing her cot with a travel cot tonight because the one we are using is from ikea and its quite narrow compared to most. but if this doesent work i have nothing.

does anyone have any ideas?

i'm sorry you are going through this but i understand! neither of my two eldest slept through til after a year old and it looks like this LO is going to be no better. my son grew out of it but was being ff at the time. my daughter was being bf and wanted to comfort feed all night so one night after she was one, and i was going out of my mind as OH never helped out, i just refused to bf her at night and eventually she learnt to sleep better. are you bf or ff? feel free to pm me if you need to vent :hugs:

I too understand what you're going through as Jacob never slept through from birth up until the last couple of weeks and it really is so exhausting. I can't really advise you as nothing we did made any difference either but just wanted to offer some:hugs:

Hi hun, I know exactly how you feel. Sam has slept through about 6 times ever. WE tried allsorts to try and help it but nothing seemed to work. Now in the last week or so he's started to sometimes sleep from 7.30 until about 5, takes his milk and goes back until about 6.30-7 (even later if we're lucky). We do still have some nights that are as bad as ever, but slowly the good nights are starting to outweigh the bad. My opinion, and I may be wrong, is that babies do just sleep through when they are ready to. it's just unlucky for the likes of us that some do it around this time (or later) while others do it almost straight away!!!

hope things start to look up for you soon, sleep deprivation is hideous :hugs:

thanks ladies. it makes me feel better to know that its normal and not something thats making her uncomfortable. i guess i just need to suffer untill shes thinks ive earned a good nights sleep xx

It will happen and I hope it wont be too long for you, it really is hard especially when everyone else around you seems to have these great babies that slept through from the minute they were born.:hugs:
