my 5 week pregnant blood and pains

i am 5 half weeks pregnant and i started getting terrible pains in my uteres and spotting of pink blood and brown this pain hasnt stopped for over 24 hours . i went too the hospital today and got examined and they said that some women just bleed and there is nothin too worry about. this pain just wont go away . how long does this last for ? i have too go for my 6 half week ultra sound too c if the baby is ok any one else been through this as the blood in in my knickers alot but not really heavy
